King Wadada, also known as Austin Peter, (born on 6 August 1975) Nigerian reggae musician, singer, and songwriter. In 2010, he won the Kora Awards as Africa's best reggae artist of the year. He is best known for his song "Holy Holy."[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
Biography[edit]
King Wadada was born in Urhonigbe, in the Orhionmwon local government area of Edo State in Nigeria.[10]
Music career[edit]
In 2008, he signed a management and record deal with Enorecords Snc[11] , now known as Enorecords LLC, where artists, such as Lucky Dube Daddy Fresh and Ebenezer Obey previoulsy bagged music distribution contract.In October 10,2017 he released his debut album "Ominipoent God"[12] under Enorecords LLC imprint, to be distributed by VP Records arms VPAL, the album was submitted by VPAL for Grammy consideration in 2017 -2018 [13]
Awards[edit]
In 2010, he won the Kora Awards as Africa's best reggae artist of the year, In 2018, King Wadada won Obaland Awards for Best Gospel Reggae 2018 (Honor),[14] in 2020, he received the prestigious APCN Humanitarian Awards of Excellence, hosted by Africa's queen of Reggae Evi Edna Ogholi [15]
