Kodagu University is a public university located in Kushalanagar, Karanataka, India.[3][4] The Karnataka Legislative Assembly in September 2022 passed a bill to amend the Karnataka State Universities Act 2000, to create eight new universities in the state including Kodagu University. About 24 undergraduate colleges from Mangalore University and 12 colleges from University of Mysore were bifurcated and are now affiliated with Kodagu University.[5] A majority of teaching and non teaching staff have decided to stay back with Managalore University.[6]
The university is currently located at Jnana Kaveri PG Centre, Chikka Aluvara, Kushalanagar taluk, Kodagu district.[6]
