Kodezi is an artificial intelligence startup providing tools to maximize efficiency when programming based in Orlando, Florida.[1] Their initial product consists of an auto-correct for programmers, which serves as a Grammarly for programming languages.. [2]

Kodezi was initially created in early 2019 as a side project. The idea was to provide a solution for programmers who had limited access to datasets and trained models. After 3 years of training data sets and building a custom AI engine, Kodezi was established. Kodezi’s AI Engine is a combination of billions of lines of open-source code from the world’s most trusted repositories and GPT-3 advanced datasets. After 3 years of fine tuning, Kodezi’s custom algorithms are able to provide efficient tools to enhance your programming skills with ease.[3]

History[edit]

Kodezi was founded by Ishraq Khan at Seminole High School (Seminole County, Florida) in 2019 for students to share coding tutorials and help bridge the gap between a student not understanding a concept from a teacher, and a student who is able to teach the concept. [4] The idea was called TeachMeCode, he gained numerous amount of video views and site visitors monthly. [5] He saw the potential of peer to peer learning, with students being more engaged when someone their age level is explaining concepts they cannot grasp. [6]

In early 2021, the company decided to rebrand and launch as Kodezi[7], with investor funding and a new purpose, [8]with an idea of AI in mind. Kodezi essentially has created a Grammarly for coders.[9] By announcing this feature they gained a huge following and support from the EdTech Community, which lead the company to relaunch in 2021.

Kodezi's ability to have users input any given code and for their machine learning model to output suggestions and advice on how to debug the code sparked a great interest amongst investors which poised it's growth.
