Koolkart was an e-commerce company in India. It was a social shopping community, where shoppers saw products shared by other users of the site.[1] Its product categories were[2] apparel, jewellery, and home decor. It was a marketplace for designers[3] to showcase and sell their products.
Koolkart was founded by Suneil Chawla, a graduate from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad and Anupam Agarwal, a graduate of Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.[4] Suneil Chawla is also the co-founder of Social Beat, a digital marketing services startup.[5]
Koolkart was shut down due to several reasons, including the harsh fundraising environment around 2012–2013.[6]
