Minaki is a retail Indian jewelry and apparel brand. Incepted in 2018, Minaki is headquartered in Delhi.

It designs, produces, and distributes jewelry ranging from Kundan polki to contemporary and temple to semi-precious stones, and also offers ceremonial wear for men and women. As of April 2023, it is in more than 20 retail stores across India.

History[edit]

Founded by Ms. Monika Soni and Mr. Sumeet Soni, with over 20 years of experience in the corporate world. In its early months, Minaki started with everyday and contemporary jewelry intending to add a twist to pearls' classic and fashionable aesthetic. The aim was to create easy-to-manage and safe-to-use jewelry for the evolving modern women.[1]

Its first-ever collection, ‘Eleganza’- for everyday wear, was launched and made available in a retail store in the founding year.

Jewelry[edit]

By mid of 2018, the first collection ‘Eleganza’ started receiving positive feedback from the market, and the founders steered the brand towards Indian traditional jewelry. The first few categories of the Traditional jewelry collection included Shahana Kundan and Polki jewelry. By the end of 2018, Minaki’s products were available in multiple retail stores of Aza Fashion, Jaypore, and Karma.

In 2019, Minaki reached a landmark when it delved into more categories of traditional Indian Jewelry, namely, Temple and Bridal Jewelry Collections. This launch helped the brand gain a lot of festive and occasional wear market segments. By the end of 2019, its rapport grew, and soon Minaki was available at the in-house stores of the Taj, namely, Taj Khazana.

In 2020, the brand came full circle by introducing its crystal jewelry collection signifying its belief in different jewelry for different occasions.

All categories of jewelry by Minaki are elegant, close to real, and of class-apart craftsmanship.

Presence in Digital Space[edit]

The brand went digital in 2020. By April 2020, the website was up and running. In the same year, Minaki started to build its social media presence. With the growing global digital space, Minaki was soon present on various social media platforms.

Apparels[edit]

In 2021, after getting a firm foot in the digital world, the brand shifted its focus to studying more about the apparel industry, specifically Ceremonial wear.

Mr. Sumeet Soni, the co-founder, launched the Ceremonial wear collection for men. The inspiration behind this launch was to introduce a product in the apparel industry that can serve as a bridge to luxury. For those who yearned to experience refinement but wanted affordable luxury. With this launch, Minaki was also present on its own website and physical stores of Pernia’s.

In the consecutive year, the brand delved into Ceremonial wear for women. This range was a blend of modern and traditional aesthetics. Its women's collection also continued to serve as a bridge to luxury. By the end of 2022, Minaki was in 15+ stores of Taj Khazana, 8 retail stores of Aza Fashions, and Pernia’s Pop up stores.
