Kruty skirmishes
The Kruty skirmishes were allegedly[by whom?] fought between 28 February and 1 March 2022 between the villages of Pamyatne and Khoroshe Ozero in Chernihiv Oblast, as part of the Eastern Ukraine offensive during the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Skirmishes[edit]
On 28 February, Ukrainian Hurricane MLRS delayed the advance of a Russian column advancing from Konotop, which was captured by Russian forces earlier in the week.[2]
According to Ukrainian state media, on 1 March 2022, between the villages of Pamyatne and Khoroshe Ozero , a series of skirmishes took place between Ukrainian and Russian forces. Ukrainian forces allegedly killed 200 Russian soldiers.[1] According to reports by Ukrinform, Russian soldiers had fired upon the Kruty Heroes Memorial before the clashes.[3]
