Kyle Marlett (born September 4, 1991) is an American magician, actor, entertainer, and television personality. He has appeared on The Tonight Show, Syfy’s Wizard Wars, Pop (U.S. TV network)’s Don’t Blink, The CW’s Masters of Illusion (TV series), CW’s Penn & Teller: Fool Us and in January 2018 sold his own mini series to Facebook Watch (Airing May 2018).[1] He is also one of the worlds top magic creators/consultants.[2] He has created magic for almost every TV magician in the past 10 years, Broadway, Commercials & Movies.[3]

Early life[edit]

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana September 4, 1991. Kyle Marlett began performing magic at the age of 4. He grew up in Shelbyville,Indiana[4] until the age of 15 when he moved Daytona, Florida. He has one brother.

Career[edit]

Martlett moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, where his career really took off.[5] He appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.[6] Soon after that Martlett got his own show on the Las Vegas strip called It’s Tricky.[7] The show ran five nights a week[8] Towards the end of 2012 Martlett was brought in by magician Criss Angel to co-star in a web series titled Pop Magic produced by Angel.[9]

Since the launch of his career, Martlett has toured the world performing including a performance tour of India in 2018[10] and has appeared on a number of television shows, including SyFy’s Wizard Wars,[11] Pop (U.S. TV network)’s Don’t Blink,[12] Penn & Teller: Fool Us,[13] and The CW’s Masters of Illusion (TV series).[14]

Martlett has also conceived, designed and implemented some illusions in Las Vegas, on London’s West End, in movies and on television including being the lead magic consultant on the new Netflix series Magic For Humans (airing 2018) and being brought in as a consulting producer for the new Science Channel show SciJinks starring Johnny Galecki. He was voted one of the “Most Interesting People in Las Vegas” by Seven Magazine.[9]

In early 2017 Martlett launched his company called MutantPowers.net, an online shop that sells gadgets to lay people to make them look like super heroes.[15]

In 2018, Martlett sold his own mini series to Facebook Watch in partnership with Mashable and Tim & Eric’s production company Abso Lutely Productions. The series is set to air on May 24, 2018.[16] He was also featured on the May 2018 cover of The Linking Ring.[17]
