Imran Pratapgarhi (Urdu: محمد. عمران خان‎,Hindi: इमरान प्रतापगढ़ी) popularly known as Mohd. Imran Khan is a famed Urdu language and Hindi language poet who has gained prominence through his revolutionary poems. A three-time National Award Winner for debate and poetry, he believes in following his heart. His work is dominant in framing verses for socio-political issues, patriotism, brotherhood, and religious-social harmony.

Early life

Mohd. Imran Khan was born on 6 August 1987 in Pratapgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, to Sajida Khan and Mohd. Iliyas Khan. He has eight siblings. His mother, Sajida, is a kind-hearted housewife, and his father is a physician. Imran spent his childhood in various cities of Uttar Pradesh and later relocated to Allahabad, where he graduated from Allahabad University. Imran is now pursuing his Ph.D in Poetry. His native place, Pratapgarh, gives him the title of Imran Pratapgarhi.

Career

Imran became interested in writing during his teenage years. He began writing poems in the fifth grade and performed in various stage shows. He gained recognition for his work since April 2005. Known for his Urdu and Hindi language poems and shayaris, Imran has gained a following in India, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Pakistan, and other European countries.

Hobbies and interests

Imran Khan has a strong interest in reading books and novels. He also enjoys badminton, horse riding, and charity work.
