LabInApp[1] is Hubli-based educational technology company that produces laboratory simulators.[2][3]
The startup offers a license-based program that includes experiments in general science, physics, chemistry, and biology for classes 9 to 12.[3]
History
The organization was founded by four engineering graduates from B.V.B. College of Engineering and Technology – Pavan Shinde (CEO), Girish Shirigannavar (CTO), Pramod Ramdurg (CPO), and Vinayak Hulabutti (CMO). It was incubated at the Center for Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship at BVB College.[4]
In July 2016, LabInApp partnered with Tata ClassEdge to enable teachers and students to perform science experiments on computers or mobile devices, without needing an actual laboratory.[5][6]
Funding
LabInApp received angel funding from Sandeep Maheshwari, founder of ImagesBazaar.com, in 2014.[3] In 2015, they won the StartEdu competition conducted by Unitus Seed Fund,[4] which enabled them to raise seed capital.[7][8]
