Lacrima Dairy
Lacrima Dairy is a dairy producer based in Bulgaria, specializing in the production of traditional Bulgarian white brine cheese and yellow cheese. The company was established in 1959.[1][2][3]
History[edit]
The dairy farm is in Pazardzhik, a small town in South Bulgaria, close to the Rhodope Mountains. The farm is 3000 m2.[4][5][6]
The dairy plant was established on April 1, 1959, as the state economic enterprise "Mlekoprerabotvane – Pazardzhik." This initiative was a response to the post-World War II economic and political changes in Bulgaria. The dairy industry was organized under the umbrella organization "Mlechna Promishlenost".
On May 1, 1969, "Mlekoprerabotvane" – Pazardzhik transitioned to the State Economic organization "Serdika." Subsequently, on January 1, 1971, the company evolved into a state organization named the "Dairy Industry" branch. Over the years, the company underwent several rebrands, ultimately becoming "Lakrima" JSC – Pazardzhik.[7]
In 2020, Lacrima Dairy came under the ownership and management of Euro Investment Holding JSC, led by businessman Mr. Muhanned Alnuaimi. The dairy plant continues to operate under the Lacrima trademark.
