Poothanamoksham

Poothanamoksham (The Salvation of Poothana) is an Aattakatha (Kathakali play) penned by Aswati Thirunal. It tells the tale of how the demoness Poothana, under the service of Kamsa, attempts to kill baby Krishna by breastfeeding him after smearing poison on her breasts. However, Krishna ends up killing her, and she attains salvation.
