Lauren Elizabeth Prott (born March 18, 1992) is an American professional soccer player from Chico, California.[1] She plays for FC Djursholm in Djursholm, Sweden.[2]
Early life[edit]
Prott was born on March 18, 1992 in Butte County, California[3] to Phillip Prott and Margaret Oneill-Prott. She has three siblings, Austin, Megan, and Ryan.[4]
Prott played her high school soccer at Chico Senior High School, where she was a 4-year varsity member. During her senior year (2010) the Chico High Panthers overall had 14 wins, 2 losses, and 3 ties. The panthers also only allowed 7 goals against while scoring 54 goals.[5] Prott played in all games and scored 1 goal against University Prep to tie the game.[6] During the 2009 season, the panthers went 17–2–1 overall with 65 goals for and 4 against.[7] Prott played in 19 games and logged 1 assist.
Collegiate career[edit]
Prott attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering in 2010, where she played defense.[8] She appeared in 15 matches and started 2.[9] Then in 2012, she transferred to Butte College. While at Butte she went undefeated in conference and was crowned the Golden Valley Conference Champions.[10] Following a year at Butte, Prott transferred to the University of Mount Olive.[11] While at the University of Mount Olive, Prott was a 2-year starter and played in 30 matches.[12] In both 2013 and 2014 she was placed on the Conference Carolina's All-Academic Teams. She was the November 2014 Female Scholar-Athlete of the month.[13] She was also a recipient of the Coach's Award in 2015 for her hard work and dedication to the team.
Playing career[edit]
Club[edit]
Primero De Mayo, 2014–2015[edit]
Prott played with Primero De Mayo of the WPSL in both the summer of 2014 and 2015.[14]
Västerås BK30, 2016[edit]
Prott signed a professional contract with the Swedish team Västerås BK30[15] on February 12, 2016. She started in 7 of the 11 games and appeared in 8 while with the team. She scored 1 goal against Sätra SK to tie the match at 2–2, helping bring BK30 back from a 0–2 deficit to eventually win 3–2.[16]
Then in August, Prott moved to FC Djursholm.[17]
FC Djursholm, 2016[edit]
Prott signed a professional contract with FC Djursholm, in Djursholm, Sweden. She started and played every minute of the remaining 10 games.
Boroondara Eagles, 2018[edit]
In 2017, Prott played for the Boroondara Eagles in Melbourne, Australia.[18] While there she started in every match for the Eagles and logged 2 goals.[19]
Lokomotiva Brno, 2019[edit]
In 2018, Prott signed for Lokomotiva Brno Horní Heršpice of 1.Liga in the Czech Republic.[20]
