Leap.ai

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Leap.ai is an intelligent job matching platform that uses artificial intelligence to connect people with best matching jobs. The platform provides self-assessment, smart resume, intelligent matching and guaranteed interviews to its users. Leap.ai was founded in April 2016 by two former Google executives, Richard Liu (CEO) and Yunkai Zhou (CTO).

The startup claims to have 50 customers, which include Dropbox, Zoom, Uber, Mulesoft, Evernote, Cloudera[1], and some Chinese customers, such as Didi Chuxing, Baidu, Ant Financial and Meitu. It is currently focused on jobs and candidates in New York, Boulder, Austin, Seattle and Silicon Valley.[2]

Leap.ai currently offers its service via a website and an iOS app.[3] Leap.ai maps an individual's skills and experiences and matches them to the "demands and culture" of potential employers.[4]

After sign up, users get to create a profile, do a self-assessment detailing strengths, personal values and job preferences, upload resumes or build resumes using the company's tool. The AI algorithm then matches the candidate’s profile with a company’s hiring criteria. Once matched, Leap.ai offers job applicants with guaranteed interviews by notifying the job seeker about potential opportunities. So far, 70% of guarantee interview candidates have passed a first interview.[5]Once candidates make their choices, the platform then sends the application to the employer.[6]

The Silicon Valley-based startup was established in a garage at Cupertino on April 1, 2016.

Funding[edit]

Leap.ai announced its seed round of funding for $2.4 million from more than 20 executives in top technology companies[6] – such as Google, Apple, Amazon – as angel investors, including Sridhar Ramaswamy, SVP of Ads and Commerce at Google. Known investors also include Eric Rosenblum, Rich Liu and Xuhui Shao[7][8].

ZhenFund, a top early stage investing fund established in 2011 in collaboration with Sequoia Capital China, was leading this round.
