Leave Me Alone is a SaaS email-management application introduced in 2019. It provides tools to manage subscription and promotional email, including functions to unsubscribe from mailing lists and to limit unsolicited messages across multiple accounts.

    History

The service was launched in January 2019 by developers Danielle Johnson and James Ivings through the Estonian company Squarecat OÜ.[1] It ranked first for Product of the Day on its launch date and later received a Product Hunt Golden Kitty Award in 2019 for Side Project of the Year.[2]

    Features

Leave Me Alone connects to supported email providers using IMAP or provider APIs and identifies messages associated with mailing lists and recurring promotions. Available actions include:

    • unsubscribing from mailing lists via sender-provided unsubscribe mechanisms;[3]
    • screening or blocking bulk or unsolicited messages; and
    • compiling selected senders into a periodic digest.

    Partnerships

The application is distributed on the macOS app marketplace Setapp, operated by MacPaw.[4] In 2025 it was integrated with the desktop email client Mailbird, enabling in-app access to unsubscription and screening functions.[5]

    Recognition

    • Product Hunt Golden Kitty AwardSide Project of the Year (2019).[6]
