Lee James Shone (born 29 December 1975) is an English actor and Martial Artist. He was born in South Shields Tyne and Wear in England and attended Harton Academy. Shone was one of the first British MMA fighters and began fighting in 1998.

Acting[edit]

Shone made his film debut in the 2018 Universal Pictures film, Death Race 4: Beyond Anarchy with a cameo appearance opposite Zach McGowan. Shone has since appeared in a number of British and American feature films and video games opposite actors such as, John Hurt, Danny Glover, Danny Trejo, Zach McGowan, Jon St. John, Nick Moran, Noel Clarke.

Book[edit]

Shone is a character in the 2018 novel, MEG: Generations. Generations is the 7th novel in the Meg: A Novel of Deep Terror book series, written by best selling author Steve Alten.

Recognition[edit]

Shone has been recognised and supported by people such as actor Tom Hardy who supported Shone in the LA Times and the Toronto Film Festival wearing Shone's signature fight tee shirt.

Martial Arts[edit]

Lee Shone started martial arts at age 8 in the England competing in traditional martial arts competition and also amateur boxing. Shone also fought in arranged bare knuckle boxing and No Holds BarredNHB fights in the late 90's. In 2001, Shone became the first non American to pass the Team Shamrock Lions Den Tryout and became part of Frank Shamrock professional fight team and was managed by Shamrock. In 2002 Shone competed professionally in the sport Mixed Martial Arts MMA. Shone trained under the Cuban Olympic Boxing Coaches and also under Duane Ludwig. [Duane Ludwig]] is Shone's current coach and Shone trains at the Ludwig Martial Arts Academy in DenverColorado.
