levon a (a novel, backwards) is a novel written by J.D. Radke that begins on page 333 and then moves along down to page one.[1][2][3]
Like the wooden box that contains a baby’s hand in the plot, the book opens horizontal, then must be flipped vertically to read the first chapter. Chapter numbers begin at 19 (page 333) and ends at chapter one on page one.[4]
The story’s heroine was created in collaboration with a real life Chinese activist known as Sheng Xue.[5] Poet Sheng Xue wrote numerous books that are banned today in China including an alternative versions of Chinese history based on first hand accounts, investigative reporting of Chinese graft, and a much loved set of poems Seeking the Soul of Snow.
