Liat Aaronson is an entrepreneur, entrepreneurial educator, investor, high-tech business operator, and COO at Horizen Labs.
Biography
Liat Aaronson was born on October 15, 1969, in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Liat received a bachelor's degree in political economy from the University of California at Berkeley, a bachelor's degree in law, and a master of business administration from Tel Aviv University (1993—1998), and a master's degree in European law from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands (2003—2004).[1]
In 1999, she became a member of the Israel Bar Association.
From 2000–2005, she worked as an associate attorney at Naschitz, Amir Brandes & Co.
From 2005–2015, she was the Executive Director of the Zell Entrepreneurship Program at IDC.[2][3]
In 2015, Aaronson completed the Singularity University executive program.
She has worked as an investment partner in Marker LLC since 2017.[4][5]
From 2017–2018, she was the COO of Selina Hospitality.[6][7]
In 2019, Aaronson co-founded Horizen Labs.
Liat served as a board member at Glide and the Infinity Pension Funds, and a board observer at Victorious, and is a member of Friends of IDC’s advisory board. Today she is on the board of Wristcam.[8]
She has served on the advisory boards of SeedIL, Cockpit Innovation Hub, Taglit Excel Ventures, Ramle Innovation Hub, WiSe, Weizman Institute’s entrepreneurship program, and Scola, the 81 Unit entrepreneurship program. Today she focuses her efforts as chairman of the Zell Program.[9][10]
Aaronson co-organized TEDxTelAviv and TEDxHolyland.[11]
She wrote the book Entrepreneurs Never Fail, based on case studies from 20 Years of the Zell Entrepreneurship Program at Reichman University.[12]
