Liberal Initiative (Italy)
Liberal Initiative (Iniziativa Liberale, IL) was a liberal political party, mainly active as a sub-group within the Mixed Group of the Chamber of Deputies.
The group was formed in May 2012 by Paolo Guzzanti (ex-PSI/FI/PdL/PLI), Maurizio Grassano (ex-LN/LD/AdC), and Antonio Gaglione (ex-PPI/DL/PD/NS).[1] The party did not participate in the 2013 Italian general election and was disbanded. Later on, Guzzanti joined the new Forza Italia and was an unsuccessful candidate in the 2014 European Parliament election.[2]
