Assassin's Creed, also known as Assassin's Creed: Assassins, is a comic book series written by duo Anthony Del Col and Conor McCreery and illustrated by Neil Edwards. It was published monthly by Titan Comics, running for 14 issues from November 2015 to February 2017, including a Free Comic Book Day 2016 issue which tied in with the concurrently-running Templars ongoing series, and was later collected into three trade paperbacks. The comic book was first announced in June 2015 as a five-part series illustrated by Neil Edwards that will "explore, expand and inhabit [the Assassin's Creed world] with a raft of new characters in new settings."[1] In July 2015, it was revealed that the creative team behind Kill Shakespeare would be writing the series[2] and that the first issue would release in October.[3]
The series introduces Charlotte de la Cruz, a civilian which gets pulled into the ancient conflict between the Assassins and the Templars, and who is beginning her Initiation into the Brotherhood. Each story arc has her relive the memories of one of her ancestors. In the first story arc, Trial by Fire, she relives the memories of Tom Stoddard, searching for a Piece of Eden in Salem Town during the Salem witch trials. The second story arc, "Setting Sun", has her relive the memories of Quila, a chasqui during the Spanish conquest of the Inca Empire as she attempts to thwart the assassination of Manco Inca Yupanqui. The third and final story arc, Homecoming, features her British Assassin ancestor Hiram Stoddard, through whom she attempts to learn more about Consus, the creator of the Pieces of Eden.

According to writer Anthony Del Col, a storyline inspired by the film Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind had occurred to him, but was never brought to fruition.[6]

Assassin's Creed Valhalla x Vinland Saga[lower-alpha 3] is a short crossover manga chapter by Vinland Saga author Makoto Yukimura. It was published digitally on Ubisoft Japan's website in October 2020.[76] The story features an encounter between Assassin's Creed Valhalla protagonist Eivor Varinsdottir and Vinland Saga character Thorfinn.[77]
