- Chatar Singh Aṭārīvālā General Chattar Singh Attariwalla, also spelt Chatar Singh Aṭārīvālā, was Governor of Hazara province and a military commander in the army of the Sikh Empire during the reign of Maharaja Duleep Singh in the Punjab.

- Maharani Jind Kaur She was renowned for her beauty, energy and strength of purpose and was popularly known as Rani Jindan, but her fame is derived chiefly from the fear she engendered in the British in India, who described her as "the Messalina of the Punjab", a seductress too rebellious to be controlled.

According to the Bhai Bala Janam Sakhi's, he travelled with Guru Nanak and Bhai Mardana on all of their great journeys around the world including China, Mecca, and around India. He supposedly died in Khadur Sahib, in his late 70s, in 1544. There is currently ongoing debate surrounding the existence of Bhai Bala.

- Kartar Singh Sarabha he was born into Grewal Jat sikh family. He was only 17 years old when he became a member of Ghadar Party, then came up as a leading luminary member and started fight for an independent India. He was one of the most active persons in the movement. Singh was executed at Lahore in November 1915 for his role in the movement in February 1915 when he was only 19 years old.
- Lothoo Nitharwal - Lothoo Nitharwal (1804–1855) was a freedom fighter from Rajasthan, India. He wanted to overturn the role of the East India Company in India, establish democracy and also free people from exploitation by jagirdars.
- Jagat Singh Virk - He was also known as Jagga Jatt or Jagga Daku, was a 20th-century heroic rebel of Punjab.He is known as the Robin Hood of Punjab for "robbing from the rich and giving to the poor"
- Harphool Jat Julaniwala - He was a great protector of Cows.He destructed so many Boochadkhanas (Slaughter House) in which Cows were being killed. He had great respect for cows and killed the butchers on a large scale.

- Brigadier John Dalvi – Was a POW in Sino-Indian War. Author of The Himalayan Blunder: The curtain raiser to the Sino-Indian War of 1962.
- Namdeo Jadhav – Receipent of Victoria Cross in 1945 from 5th Mahratta Light Infantry in Second World War while serving in Senio River, Italy.
