List of international cricket tournaments

The list covers all the international cricket tournaments for both men and women, that have taken place till date. Prior to merging itself into the International Cricket Council in 2006, the IWCC or the International Women's Cricket Council organized the tournaments for women. All international tournaments are currently governed by the ICC. The ICC Cricket World Cup is the premier tournament that takes place once in four years. The ICC Women's Cricket World Cup and ICC Champions Trophy usually take place in the same year. The ICC World T20 was started by the ICC in 2007 for men and was simultaneously held for both men and women from 2009 edition.
