Litlyx is an open-source web analytics platform developed by the Italian company of the same name. Founded in 2024 in Rome, it is marketed as a cookieless, GDPR-compliant alternative to Google Analytics.[1][2] The software is released under the Apache License 2.0 and can be self-hosted using Docker or used as a hosted service.[3]

    History

Litlyx was founded in 2024 by Antonio Verdiglione, who serves as the company's chief executive officer.[4] The project was released as open-source software in 2024 and is developed publicly on GitHub.[3] The company is based in Rome, Italy.

In December 2024, Litlyx raised a US$120,000 seed funding round, and the company took part in the Techstars Transformative World Torino accelerator program.[4]

    Features

Litlyx records aggregate website metrics such as page views, unique visitors, real-time visitors, referrers, devices, operating systems and browsers, without using cookies or storing personally identifiable information.[5] It also supports user-defined custom event tracking, conversion funnels, UTM campaign tracking, one-click shareable reports, and management of multiple websites from a single dashboard.[1] The platform includes an AI assistant that answers natural-language questions about the collected data.[1]

    Technology

Litlyx is integrated into a website with a single tracking script, distributed as the litlyx-js npm package, and provides integrations for WordPress, Shopify, Google Tag Manager and JavaScript frameworks including React, Next.js and Nuxt.[3] The self-hosted edition is distributed as Docker images, while the hosted service stores data on servers operated by Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany.[5]
