Political career[edit]
In 1992 Moseley was defeated by Ellen Hawk by one vote in the Democratic officials primary to become committeewoman from the 18W precinct.[1] In 1995 Moseley won the Fourth District City Commissior election after defeating incumbent Nick Sacco by nine votes. Despite having no prior political experience she received the support of Sacco's political enemy Dan Lewis.[2] The next year she defeated Susanne Clancy by one vote in the Democratic Party official primary to become the Precinct 12W committeewoman.[3] In 1998 Moseley announced that she would seek reelection. But after Mayor Vicki Coceano announced that she would not be seeking another term, Moseley ran for mayor instead, and defeated Jim Cundiff.[4][5][6]
