Lynda Bennett is an American politician and businesswoman from the state of North Carolina. She is a Republican candidate in the 2020 elections seeking to represent North Carolina's 11th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives.

Bennett earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire in 1979. She moved to Washington state, where she managed an apple and cherry orchard. She later moved to North Carolina, where worked in Hendersonville for Mother Earth News as an instructor, and at a restaurant in Transylvania County.[1] Bennett became a real estate broker and works for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate. She is also the vice chair of the Haywood County Republican Party.[2]

After Mark Meadows decided not to run for reelection to the United States House of Representatives for North Carolina's 11th congressional district in the 2020 elections, Bennett announced her candidacy.[2] She is facing Madison Cawthorn in the runoff election.[3]

Bennett and her husband, Pat, live in Maggie Valley, North Carolina.[2]
