Lyuuniverse is an online retail platform operated by Lyuu Hoffmann, is a noted Depop store of 1990s and 2000s designer clothing.[1] Lyuu offers restoration of designer clothing found at thrift stores as well as new clothing of their own design. Lyuu began selling in 2018 to pay for her college tuition, which evolved into a full-time career during the pandemic. Since its inception in 2018, Lyuu has become Depop's top seller in the United States, with her account reaching over 72,000 followers.[2]

Lyuuniverse was established as a means to generate income to support Lyuu's four cats in 2018.[3] Hoffmann graduated with a degree in cognitive science in 2020. Lyuu now makes her living remaking and reselling vintage designer items from brands like Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and Christian Dior.[1] By giving new life to these classic pieces, Lyuu has gained recognition for their ability to combine vintage aesthetics with contemporary trends.
