Machine of Human Dreams

Machine of Human Dreams is a 2016 documentary film co-produced and directed by Roy Cohen and co-produced by Mike Lerner[1][2]. The film portrays Ben Goertzel, an artificial intelligence visionary who is trying to build the first thinking machine at the Polytechnic University in Hong Kong. The film focuses on Dr. Goertzel's personal journey to build the first thinking machine, and the effects he has had on the people who have supported him during the dot-com bubble and on his new venture.[3]

The film premiered at Sheffield Doc/Fest, and was picked up by Dogwoof.[4] It showed up on Haaretz's list of "10 Documentaries Worth Watching in 2016".[5] The film won the Grand Ecran Award for best documentary feature at the Pariscience Film Festival.[6]
