Maharashtra Students Welfare Association

The Maharashtra Students Welfare Association (MSWA) is a Pune based non political student organisation founded in 2016 in the state of Maharashtra, India.[1] [2][3] The organisation was founded by student activist Vaibhav Edke to form a state students’ organisation.

Membership[edit]

In order to become a member of MSWA, one must be under 26 years of age, must be a student, must be a citizen of India, must not be part of any other political organisation and must not have been convicted of any criminal activity in past. An aspiring member who applies for MSWA Membership, becomes a Primary member after the organisation's scrutiny process. By 2019, the Maharashtra Students Welfare Association reportedly had 4,500 members.

Other Protest[edit]

Other protests include: Seeking clarity on the mode of examinations for the summer 2021 session[4]; Protest for the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Students;[5] Protest for the re-examinations of Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU);[6] and more.

The Maharashtra Students Welfare Association is not aligned with any political parties in Maharashtra, India.
