The Malacca Golf Gallery (Malay: Galeri Golf Melaka) is a gallery about golf in Malacca City, Malacca, Malaysia.[2][3][4]
History
The gallery building was originally built as a fire station in 1973. Afterwards, the building was used as the Civil Defence Department until 2000 when it was taken over by the Malacca Chief Minister's Office. It was converted into the golf gallery on 15 April 2012. The gallery was officiated on 11 November 2012 by Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Malacca Mohd Khalil Yaakob accompanied by the Chairman of the State Tourism, Culture and Heritage Committee and other government officials.[3][5]
Architecture
The gallery is housed in a 2-story building with a floor area of 26.78 m2 on the lower floor and 154.47 m2 on the upper floor.
Exhibition
The gallery showcases graphics, artifacts, equipment and other materials related to golf, from its history and background to the development of golf in Malaysia, numbering around 186.[6]
