Mandla Maphumulo (born July 18, 1982)[2] is a South African recording artist and record producer.[3] He is one three founding member of the famed kwaito band Big Nuz formed in 2002 .[4][5]

Early life[edit]

Mandla was born & raised in Umlazi,KwaZulu-Natal.[2]

Career[edit]

Mandla formed kwaito group known as Big Nuz back in 2002.They all grew up in Umlazi & moved from Durban to Johannesburg for them to sign for a recording company in 2004.[2]

Their first album was released titled "Zozo" and did not went well.They moved back to Durban join a new label, Afrotainment and they release their next album in 2008 titled "2nd Round Knockout" . They second album was very successful . They won the Metro FM Best Kwaito Award for they second album. It also get nominated for the 2008 Channel O Awards and "Uyoysholo Wena" song was nominated for Song of The Year in 2008 SAMA.

Personal life[edit]

Mandla is the founder and the owner of West Ink Records.[4]He is currently in a relationship with Babes Wodumo.[3]
