Mandaue Foam is a Filipino furniture manufacturer and retailer founded in 1971 and based in Cebu. As of 2022, Mandaue Foam has 29 showrooms and 5 outlet locations across the Philippines.[1][2] The company operates an online store with over 1,800 products listed.[3] As of 2014, it is one of the top 1000 corporations of the Philippines.[4]

History[edit]

Mandaue Foam was founded in 1971 in Cebu by Rosita T. Uy after her son, Robin T. Uy, persuaded her to invest in foam manufacturing. Their first branch opened in Mandaue. The company suffered three factory fires in 1972, 1986, and 1996, but each time they chose to rebuild their factory and continue operating. Eventually, Mandaue Foam decided to diversity their product line; they started manufacturing beds in the late 1970s, spring mattress beds in 1986, and sofas in 1998. Today, their offerings include a wide variety of home furniture such as wardrobes, chests of drawers, dining sets, cabinets, etc. Mandaue Foam manufactures 60% of their furniture offerings and sources products that need medium-density fiber board, metal, and plasti.[5][6]

The company initially focused on the Visayas & Mindanao market, and opened branches in these regions. They opened branches in Iloilo, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Butuan, Davao, and General Santos.[7] In 2007, Mandaue Foam entered the Luzon market with the opening of a factory and showroom along Ortigas Avenue Extension in Cainta, Rizal. They then opened three showrooms in Metro Manila proper; in Quezon City in 2008, in Las Piñas in 2010, and in Mandaluyong in 2013.[5][8] In 2014, they launched their online store.[9]
