Mandy Lee (born Amanda Lee Duffy on July 9, 1992)[1][2] is an American musician, known as the vocalist of American indie pop band MisterWives.

Early life[edit]

Lee was born and raised in Queens, New York.[3] Her mother is of Haitian descent.[1] She attended LaGuardia High School in the Upper West Side, where she became classically trained in opera.[5][6]

MisterWives[edit]

Lee met future bassist William Hehir in 2003 when they both showed up to perform at a party for 1980s cover bands.[5][4] Drummer Etienne Bowler was added shortly later, and the three core members of the band[5] named themselves MisterWives, which is a play on the Mormon term "sister wife".[4][6][7][8]

Lee and Bowler have since started dating.[6][8]

Personal life[edit]

Like most of the other members of MisterWives, Lee is a vegan.[7][6]
