Marius Lazăr (born 03 March 1969, Sibiu, Romania) is a Romanian politician[1], co-president of Green Party[2], author and civic environmental activist.[3]

Politics[edit]

Following the September 3rd Congress that took place in Bucharest[4], the Green Party (Greens) has a new leadership: Marius Lazăr from Sibiu[5] (political scientist and doctor of political science) is the new co-president (male) of the Greens in Romania alongside the co-president (female ) Lavinia Cosma from Mureș (vocational guidance counselor) and Adrian Dohotaru from Cluj (civic environmental activist) in the position of executive president.[6]

Political position[edit]

Marius Lazar is a leftist, green and eco-socialist politician. He supports a higher and fairer taxation of energy profits, he also asked the Minister of Education to resign following the elimination of the social scholarship for students.[7][8][9]
