Mark DeVine

Mark DeVine is an author and associate professor of divinity at Beeson Divinity School.

Biography[edit]

DeVine earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University. He then attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned an M.Div. and a PhD in Theology.

He has written on the history of theology and its developers, particularly C.S. Lewis and Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The St. Louis Post - Dispatch described DeVine as "an expert on the emerging church movement" who was "invited to brief Missouri Baptist Convention leaders on the emerging church" in 2007.[1]
