Mark Donaldson is a Scottish football, tennis, and baseball commentator and presenter for ESPN and BT Sport.[1][2]
Early career[edit]
In 1995, Donaldson began his professional career working on the radio station, Scot FM. He then moved to Radio Forth to work as a sports editor. Between 2007-2008, Donaldson worked as a drivetime presenter for Talk 107 in Scotland. Donaldson made his television debut in 2008 when he began working as a reporter for Sky Sports News. He also is a Scottish football correspondent for talksport. In 2008, Donaldson started his own sports agency business called Multi Media Sport. The company has since closed.
ESPN and BT Sport[edit]
In 2010, Donaldson was given an opportunity to move to the US to work for ESPN.[3] Donaldson has worked as a football commentator and presenter, tennis commentator and reporter, and baseball presenter. Donaldson's football credits include the FA Cup, Carabao Cup, UEFA Champions League, Copa del Rey, 2014 World Cup on ESPN Radio, UEFA Euro 2016 on ESPN, and currently the lead commentator of the Serie A.[4] He also is a digital presenter for ESPN FC. Donaldson's work as a tennis commentator include the US Open, Wimbledon, and Australian Open. In 2018, Donaldson was approached by ESPN to work as a presenter for a baseball programme catered to the UK audience called Caps Off. The show airs on BT Sport in the UK. Donaldson is also the author of five books. He has written autobiographies for Steve Nicol and Gary Mackay as well as 3 others about numerous stories.
Personal life[edit]
Donaldson currently resides in Connecticut with his wife and daughter. In addition to English, he is fluent in French and Scottish.
