Mark Seibert (born April 9, 1979 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany) is a German actor, musician and singer. He has performed especially in musical theatre.

Biography[edit]

He began his dance career while still at school, to which he devoted himself in the following years. First, however, Mark Seibert began studying business administration, which he broke off a short time later and only successfully completed a few years later in the form of distance learning. Instead, he switched to the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, but he also gave up his studies to begin an apprenticeship at the Vienna Conservatoire. In 2005 he completed his studies. Mark Seibert studied at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. Even before completing his studies, he has appeared on stage in roles such as Williard in "Footloose", Claude in "Hair", Pygar in the world premiere of "Barbarella", and Tybalt in the German-language premiere "Romeo & Julia".

In the German premiere of the musical "Wicked", Mark played the role of Fiero. In the world premiere of the musical "Moccasins Manitou" (Berlin), based on one of the most successful results, she played the role of Ranger. In "We Will Rock You" they went to the cliff in the video of Galileo (Berlin and Stuttgart, Germany). For four years, Seibert played the role of Tod in the musical "Elisabeth" in Germany, Austria and Shanghai. In the 2013-14 season Mark starred in Jesus Christ Superstar in Germany and played the role of Lancelot in the world premiere of Frank Wildhorn's "Artus-Excalibur" in Switzerland. In the Vienna production of the musical "Mozart!" he successfully played the role of Colloredo. After that, he played the role of Count von Krolock in the legendary musical by J. Steinman "Dance of the Vampires" in Berlin.

In 2010 his first solo album Musicalballads unplugged was released. After further albums and solo concert series, he released the best-of album Mark Seibert - So Far! His greatest musical hits so far! with songs from his engagements, on which, among other things, well-known songs were reissued or translated into English. In autumn 2019 he was on stage for the first time as Edward in the musical Pretty Woman alongside Patricia Meeden in Hamburg.

Mark performed for the first time in 2010 as the vocal group "Musical Tenors". He also performs in the vocal group The Milestones Project.

Seibert lives in Switzerland.
