Marko Danial (born February 19, 2001), also known as Pharaoic, is an Egyptian entrepreneur and social media influencer best known as the founder of the tech-focused community Techineer. With over 2 million followers, Techineer is one of the largest tech pages on Instagram. In 2021, Danial was recognized as one of the youngest entrepreneurs on Forbes Next 1000 for his impact in digital media.[1]
Early life and education
Marko Danial was born in Cairo, Egypt, and moved with his family to California at a young age. He grew up playing basketball and developed an early interest in social media. In 2013, Danial created his first Instagram account, initially sharing sports content before expanding into tech and other niches. During high school, he founded Spzrts, an Instagram page centered around sports media.
Danial attended Mira Loma High School before enrolling at Saint Mary's College of California, where he earned a B.A. in Liberal Arts in 2022. He later transferred to the University of Southern California (USC), where he pursued both a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering through USC's Progressive Degree Program, completing both in 2025.[2]
Career
In 2020, Danial founded Techineer, a technology-focused online community that highlights innovations in science, engineering, and technology.[3] By April 2021, Techineer surpassed 1 million followers, establishing itself as one of the leading tech-related pages on Instagram.[4] In addition to Techineer, Danial co-founded Baai in 2024 with his friend Adam Meskouri. Baai has since grown to over 1.3 million followers.
In 2021, Danial was recognized by Forbes as part of the Next 1000 list for his impact in digital media and entrepreneurship.[1]
Personal Life
Marko Danial resides in Los Angeles, California. His nickname "Pharaoic" reflects his Egyptian heritage, blending the words "Pharaoh" and "heroic." He is a Pisces and enjoys sushi, frequently mentioning it as his favorite food.[5]
