Mars House
Mars House is a non fungible token (NFT) of a series of digital 3D models of a house, set on the planet Mars.[1] It has been described as the world's first digital NFT house.
The item was designed in Unreal Engine[1] in May 2020[2] by digital artist Krista Kim.[3] It sold for 288 Ether (ETH) in March 2021, equivalent to $524,557.79 in US dollars at that time. The buyer, under the pseudonym "@artontheinternet", had also purchased $44,000 worth of NFTs from Kim the previous week.[1]
The NFT includes digital 3D files which can be uploaded to the owner's metaverse platform of choice,[4][5] and the option to have items from the house manufactured physically by an Italian glass furniture maker.[1] The Business Insider website said that the structure "appears to be made up almost entirely of glass".[3]
