Mascunazi is a pejorative term for masculinists which was popularized by many articles & webpages.[1][2]

Origin and Usage[edit]

Mascunazi is a portmanteau of the nouns masculine and Nazi.[3] According to The Oxford Dictionary of American Political Slang, it refers (pejoratively) to "a committed masculinist or a strong-willed man".[This quote needs a citation]

The term is used to characterize masculinist perspectives as extreme in order to discredit masculinist arguments, Robin Phillips portraying masculinity as bossy and hating women and masculinity.

The word can also be found in the works Cockfosters by Helen Simpson[4], and Campaign America '96: The View from the Couch by William O'Rourke[5].
