Massive Warfare is mobile app game developed and published by the Chilean game developer Tinybytes. It is a third-person shooter with real-time PvP battles in Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) mode. Players control one of three types of combat vehicles – Tanks, Helicopters or Hovercraft, – on a live battlefield. They have the option to play solo or team up with other players. To date, this is the only mobile shooter game where hovercraft are available.

Gameplay[edit]

There’s no right way of playing, but weighing the pros and cons of each vehicle type is a good starting point. The tank has mighty firepower and robust iron armour, but as it trundles along, it’s easy prey from the heights; the helicopter is fast and can reach any point on the battlefield in no time, but its armour is vulnerable; and then there’s the stealth hovercraft, speedy in water but slow on the ground. If you can pick the right vehicle for your strategy though, it’s half the battle won.

Uniqueness: three types of combat vehicles[edit]

What makes the game unique is that there are three lines of combat vehicles in the game. Whereas the majority of modern mobile shooters offer only one kind of war machines: tanks (predominantly), helicopters, war robots, or ships. In the Massive Warfare user has three types of combat vehicles available to play at the same time.

Tanks[edit]

Destroy your enemies with Big Damage! Tanks have low mobility and slow firing rate, but they do a lot of damage and have the heaviest armour in the battlefield, they’re the best at defense and frontline attacks.

Helicopters[edit]

Helicopters have high mobility with medium armor and can traverse most of the map! Their weapon is equipped with double fire making them great for harassing attack tactics at mid range and making use of hard cover.

Hovercraft[edit]

Hit and Run! Hovercrafts have medium armour and fast movement. Their weapon is equipped with double shoot and rapid fire, making them great for assault tactics.

Reception[edit]

Prior to the global release the title had racked up 1.6 million downloads through Google Play Early Access.[1]
