Dragon Boat 200M Senior/Master Fastest Times: Continental Championships[info 1][edit]

Continental Championships - Asia[info 2][edit]

Continent of Asia

The Asian continent is the place of origin for the sport of Dragon Boat and currently has the largest community of Dragon Boat racers in the world today.[1] The earliest roots of the sport appear in China where organized competitions date back to the 3rd Century BCE, yet there is evidence of racing long boats among early fishing communities going back as far as 5-7000 years[2]. Today the sport is recognized as one of China's six national holidays[3], as well as a very popular event within several nations of the East and South East Asian region. Presently the estimated population of Dragon Boat athletes in the Asian community numbers at approximately 50 million.[4]

This article details the fastest Dragon Boat 200 Meter Senior/Master times within the Asian continental region, and includes all major competitions in which a legitimate world record time may be produced.

Given this document predates the event, it appears likely that Dragonboat may have been planned but did not happen.
