Matthieu Tondeur (born 1985 in Lens, France) is a French Shanghai-based filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist.
History
Performing VJing as "Chromaphase" mainly in France and Asia, he is considered one of the most talented visual live artists in Shanghai.[1] In 2012, he began to build permanent visual systems for venues and music festivals.[2] In 2015, he became a filmmaker, producing several science-fiction short films such as 3 Men (2015).[3] and Sentient (2016)[4] which were well received by Western and Chinese media.[5][6][7][8] He often builds his own practical effects and sets to give a special atmosphere to his productions. He also collaborated with local Nu-Jazz artist Amine,[9] Lin Feng, and VICE China on music videos.
