Nahid Islam is a Bangladeshi photographer and journalist known for portraits of sportsman, particularly football photography. He worked in 2022 FIFA World Cup as a photographer.
Work and career
Since school life, he has worked as a news reporter on various local news Facebook pages in the area. His main journalism career started during his college life in 2017 through "INews BD" online news portal. After that he was associated with his former workplace "Daily Somoyer Alo" and "Navajug News".[1]
He is the youngest Bangladeshi sports journalist to cover sports news in the world's best football tournaments. He was only 22 years old. In February 2022, he obtained a certificate after a one-day training from Al Jazeera Media Network.[2]
He worked as a sports photographer for 2022 FIFA World Cup, 2023 AFC Asian Cup and 2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup in Qatar. Moreover, he has experience working as a photographer for the Amir Cup in Qatar.[3][unreliable source]
