Medio Ambiente y Urbanización
Medio Ambiente y Urbanización is a biannual peer-reviewed journal coving urban and environmental studies. It was founded in 1983 by IIED-America Latina to encourage more attention to key urban issues in Latin America. Each issue is on a theme such as small urban centres, disaster risk reduction, urban history, rethinking the Latin American city, climate change and community-development. The editors of Medio Ambiente y Urbanización also set up an English language journal Environment and Urbanization in 1989. Both journals encourage contributions from practitioners as well as staff from local governments and civil society groups. They also have similar editorial policies and share some of their content.
The last fifteen years of Medio Ambiente y Urbanización are available, open access on-line at: http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/iieal/meda
