In India the Meena Tribe Marriage Act has been made[when?] by the Meena community itself.

The responsibility of getting the marriage done in the Meena tribe rests with the head of the family. Child marriage is very prevalent in this community. In this community there is no marriage between one Gotra. Widow women are allowed to remarried women in Meena tribe.
