Megan Pormer is an American model and actress of Russian, Turkish and Middle Eastern descent. She also has a PhD in Biomedical Engineering.
Career[edit]
As a medical engineer, she concentrated her work in genetic testing; she appeared on Keeping Up with The Kardashians[1] to talk about its utility on preventive healthcare. She is also a breast and ovarian cancer advocate.[2]
CBS's The Insider said Pormer was "bridging the gap between the medical world and Hollywood".[3][4][5]
The United Nations appointed her as spokesperson for children's rights when she was 5 years old.[6]
As a model, she has been selected as a cover girl for various fashion magazines including Cosmopolitan and Vogue Arabia.[6][7][8][9][10] She works in international fashion campaigns for brands including Timberland, Bulgari and Michael Cinco,[11][12] and is spokesmodel for skincare and beauty brands.[13] Pormer also has opened and closed runway shows during New York Fashion Week and Dubai Fashion Week.[5][14][5]
As an actress, she has appeared in three films.[15] Pormer's latest acting role was alongside Oscar-nominated Barkhad Abdi.[16]
