Mehreen Syed (Urdu: م‍ﮩ‍رين سيد ) (born August 2, 1982) is a Pakistani model, the CEO of IFAP[1] and an actress. Titled Model of the Year 2013 by Lux Style Awards,[2] She has won the “International Model of the Year” award, the “Face of the Year” award,[3] the “Glamorous Entrepreneur” award, and has been ranked 16th in the Hottest 50 Asian Women in the World and 10th in the World's Sexiest Asian Women lists.

Personal life[edit]

Syed married Ahmed Humayun Sheikh in a Nikah ceremony in Lahore on February 23, 2013.[4] Sheikh is the son of Hamayoun Shaikh, who owns the luxury fashion house, Nasreen Shaikh Design House.[5]

Model[edit]

Syed began the pursuit of modelling when she met Ather Shahzad[citation needed] while she was studying at Lahore's Home Economics College,[citation needed] and has worked majorly with him ever since.[6] She also plans to enter the Indian model industry. She was announced the Pakistani Brand Ambassador of L'Oréal in December 2011.[7] Mehreen won the Lux Style Awards for Model of the Year 2013.[8]

Entrepreneur[edit]

In 2009, along with Bushra Aftab, Syed helped launch the Diamond & Polki jewelry collection.[9] Syed launched International Fashion Academy Pakistan (IFAP), as its CEO.[10] in 2011.[11]


Actress[edit]

Syed has been a part of several music videos of musicians like Raheem Shah, Junaid Khan,[12] and Badnaam,[13] while scheduled to be featuring in Abbas video.[14] Syed has been in the film Chambaili,[15] produced by Abdullah Kadwani & Shahzad Nawaz with Geo Network, directed by Ismail Jilani.
