Michael Ventura is a Manhattan-based entrepreneur and creative director. He is the founder of Sub Rosa, a multi-disciplinary studio.
Career[edit]
In late 2004 at the age of 24, Michael founded Sub Rosa, a multi-disciplinary studio that provides strategic, design, and implementation solutions.[1][2] Michael has served as a board member and advisor for Behance, Burning Man Project, The Smithsonian's Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum,[3] Friends of +POOL, and the U.N.'s Tribal Link Foundation.
He is also an adjunct professor at Princeton University, where he teaches design thinking and how to integrate empathy into the creative process.[4]
In April, 2015, Michael and his wife Caroline Ventura co-founded Calliope,[5][6][7] as well as its adjoining gallery And&And.[8]
In October 2016, Michael and Caroline were profiled by Business Insider and described as an "entrepreneurial power couple."[9]
In 2016, Wired (magazine) and Jack Daniel's selected Michael as one of three visionary entrepreneurs for a branded content series in August 2016.[10]
