Michael Angelo Montañer Vicente (born March 5, 1992) or better known as Michael Vicente is a Filipino entrepreneur. He is a co-founder of Davao Eagle and currently a member of Board of Directors.[1]

Michael is currently residing in Edmonton, Alberta where he works as a System Analyst for MacEwan University.

Early career and education[edit]

Michael attended San Pedro College for Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from 2008 - 2013. He graduated from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology with a degree in Bachelor of Technology in Technology Management. He previously worked as a Digital Product Designer in University of Alberta.[2]

Davao Eagle[edit]

Michael initially created Davao Eagle in 2010 as an online marketplace for Davaoeños but in 2011, it relaunched as an online community for storytellers. It won Social Media Campaign of the Year for the Year-End Poll Awards 2015 (YEPA) event.[3][4]

Trending.ph[edit]

Michael founded Trending.ph in 2015 as a social community platform where Filipino journalists, writers, authors, and content creators (pro and non-pros) publish their news, videos, trending topics, and stories online.[5]. The site currently have a total of 100,000+ social media following in Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
