As a consultant to the entertainment industry, he oversaw Comcast’s acquisition of AT&T’s cable television systems and overhauled Condé Nast’s costs. He worked with Rupert Murdoch and News Corporation to develop its satellite television division.[1][3][4]
In 2005, as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Viacom’s MTV Networks, Wolf led the network’s technology and business operations.[5]
During his tenure at Viacom, Wolf advised Mark Zuckerberg, as noted in David Kirkpatrick’s 2010 book, The Facebook Effect.
In 2012, Daniel Loeb[6][7] nominated Wolf to join Yahoo!’s board. Wolf was elected and served until 2013.[2][8]

Book[edit]
In his book, The Entertainment Economy: How Mega-Media Forces are Transforming Our Lives, published by Random House, Wolf described his work with clients Viacom, Richard Branson[3][4][16] and The Walt Disney Company.[3] Published in 1999, the book made a series of accurate predictions about the future of the media landscape in 2005. The book predicted that “new media will not eat old media's lunch - at least not right away” and posited that “no new medium has ever killed off another; it has only influenced changes in it."[4] The Book’s central theme is the economic impact of the intersection between entertainment and technology.[3][4]
