Mick McCleery (b. 1969) is a retired American independent film director, screenwriter and film producer. McCleery began his former professional career in the early 1990s with the dramatic thriller 'The Killing of Bobby Greene' (1991).[1] Following this he co-created and/or acted in a number of films with/by cult director Kevin Lindenmuth, such as 'Twisted Tales' (1992), 'Vampires and Other Stereotypes' (1993), 'Addicted to Murder' (1994) and the 'Alien Agenda' series (1996).[2] These films garnered immediate success in roughly 10 Blockbuster's located in Jersey City, NJ. It wasn't until November 6th, 2013, when Blockbuster shut down, that McCleery stopped making public appearances.
Alongside his acting, McCleery had continued to create his own productions with the thrillers 'Track16' in 2001, 'The Altruist' in 2004 and the travel/quest documentary 'Tribute This!' (produced by Gary Joseph and Mike Nicholson about musician Billy Franks of 'The Faith Brothers' fame) in 2009. Since then, McCleery has shunned the film industry and turned his attention to writing the great American novel.
